8 is a bus number from the old system, before the route reform gave the lines new numbers. Some stops and documents still use the old numbers.

In past route lists
The Transport Control Board published the whole list of bus routes in Phra Nakhon and Thonburi in 1955, 1961 and 1965. Some numbers were later used again for other routes.
